Installing Adobe Reader 64-bit

I tried updating Adobe Reader from 32-bit to 64-bit and ran in to issues with the download installer. It would get 90% complete, hang, and then ultimately fail. This occurred on multiple desktops, even after uninstalling Adobe Reader 32-bit and rebooting.

The solution is to download the full installer. Unfortunately, Adobe makes this tricky, so here are the steps:

1. Go to Adobe Reader for Enterprise.
2. Select “Windows 10”.
3. Select “All Languages (MUI)”. This is key as other selections, including “English”, don’t enable download of the 64-bit Reader installer.
4. Select “Reader DC 2023.003.20244 MUI for Windows-64bit” (or whatever newer version is available).
5. Click on “Download Acrobat Reader”.
6. Run the downloaded installer.
